Safe Abortion App Review

Training for choice aims to create future pro-choice physicians who are willing to provide services under legal framework after their graduation.

Safe Training: values and clarifications session for the behavior change

On 8th and 9th September 2021, MDFC Executive Director participated in the national consultative meeting with stakeholders on the East Africa Community (EAC) sexual and reproductive health bill, that took place at Lemigo.

“Safe Training” was a 2 days workshop for medical doctors who are interested in learning about the legal and medical aspects of Safe abortion services in Rwanda.

Awareness on Common Perinatal Mental Disorders (CPMD)

Medical Doctors For Choice (MDFC) concluded a two days consultative workshop on Safe Abortion App developed by Hesperian Health Guides.

MDFC is working on increasing postpartum family planning (PPFP) use by increasing knowledge through mentorship with medical doctors and other health care providers.

In the response to the magnitude of Common Perinatal Mental Disorders (CPMD), MDFC held a series of talks with physicians to discuss the occurrence and factors of CPMDs in Rwanda, the implications or challenges to address the issue


16 Days of Activism against Gender-Based Violence

The Global 16 Days Campaign, is used worldwide to call for the elimination of gender-based violence (GBV). It is run annually from November 25 (International Day Against Violence Against Women) to December 10 (International Human Rights Day)

MSFC Huye chapter introductory meeting

Medical Students for Choice (MSFC) at the University of Rwanda, Huye campus held its first meeting as a chapter. The historic meeting took place on 20th December at Huye campus southern province.

Rwanda to host Women Deliver 2023 Conference

Kigali, Rwanda will host Women Deliver Conference #WD2023, the largest convening for Gender Equality in the world, from 17-20 July 2023.
